RGA was recently awarded a LEED Platinum Certification for our work on the County Law building in Indio, as well as LEED Silver Certification for our work on the COD Visual Arts Center Building. Right away, you may have many questions. Like: Wow, how is your team so talented? And: How many of these certifications do you have? And most of all: What IS LEED Certification, anyway? All valid questions!
LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and per the official website, “is changing the way we think about how building and communities are planned, constructed, maintained and operated.” LEED can span a variety of buildings, in something as small as someone’s home, to as large as a company’s corporate headquarters. Earning LEED certification is done by addressing sustainability issues, such as being resource efficient, using less water and energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. There are four levels of LEED ratings: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
At RGA, our passion is creating spaces that our not only better for our community, but better for our environment. That is why we are proud of our achievements in this area. As members of the U.S. Green Building Council, RGA has LEED accredited professionals on staff and partners with building architects to create sustainable spaces that use resources efficiently. We are honored to receive accolades in all areas, and you can view them here: Awards
